Follow the Star...to Bethlehem is our way of telling the story of Jesus Christ with actors, animals, powerful music and dialogue. Guests may view the pageant by walking at their own pace or from the comfort of their car. Multiple scenes are presented which depict the life of God's only Son while He was here on Earth. The final scene brings us back to today with a family sharing the Christmas story from the Bible in their own living room.
Since 1994, the members of Bethlehem Lutheran Ministries have brought the message of God's Love to the people in our community through this live pageant. During the Christmas season, most people think of the Baby Jesus being born in a humble stable. We at Bethlehem Lutheran Ministries want everyone to know that the baby is only the very beginning of a wonderful fulfillment of God's Word.
Jesus Christ, as God's only Son, goes on to teach, heal, perform miracles and ultimately die, so that our sins can be forgiven. The Life, Death and Resurrection tell the rest of the story, and reinforce why that little baby's birth is so important to the foundation of the Christian faith.
Follow the Star...to Bethlehem has become a tradition for many people and they come year after year. Our hope is that some who view this depiction of Jesus Christ's life will be touched by the powerful message of God's love for us. Our Father gave His only Son to die, so that we might be saved through His death and resurrection.
While we do not charge any admission to the pageant, we do offer a way for you to show your gratitude for God's grace and support our ministry by helping those less fortunate. This event has collected thousands of pounds of food for local food distribution services and we also donate any money that is collected to assist others through the Santa Clarita Valley Community Care Center. This is not a fundraising event for Bethlehem and all donations are forwarded to services that assist the hungry and needy here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Guests are invited to join us after the Pageant for hot cocoa, caroling and fellowship in the courtyard.
Our vision is be a Community Resource Center that brings the love of Jesus to people by meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Thank you for helping us to do so and thank you for your support of Follow The Star...to Bethlehem.
| We ask that everyone please consider bringing canned or non-perishable food or monetary gifts to be donated to various Santa Clarita charitable organizations. Last year over a ton of food and more than two thousand dollars were donated to assist the needy in Santa Clarita thanks to the kindness and generosity of our guests! |
