SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE FOR ORDINARY PEOPLE What does true spiritual life really look like? What keeps you from living such a life? What can you do to pursue it? If you're tired of the status quo - if you suspect there's more to Christianity than what you've experienced, this Bible study based on the book by John Ortberg points to a road of transformation and spiritual vigor that anyone can take. One that leads to The Life You've Always Wanted.
God tells us that our dominant life value is love. Because God is love and we were created by Him to reflect Him, were were created to be great lovers. Boy, has the meaning of that phrase been twisted in our world! We learned last Spring in the "40 Days of Purpose" series that we were created to love our God with all of our heart, soul, strength and mind. And that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves, but what does that mean? Learning how to love is the key for you and me to live as God's children.
That is what we are going to do together this Fall - learn to love and improve our relationships with other people. I invite you to join me, Pastor John Koczman, and the congregation as we together take a 40 day journey including reading the book "The Relationship Principles of Jesus," by Tom Holladay, participating on Wednesday evenings attending our Meals That Matter video presentations and small group discussions, and being a part of our sermon series in September and October. This 40 day journey is called "40 Days of Love."
