"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy."
Proverbs 31: 20

Stitch 'n Prayer Ministry provides prayer support through the creation of a hand-made item of practical use for an individual or organization in need.

Calling all women of Bethlehem, Stitch n' Prayer needs you! Care Ministry requires many stitched items, and right now we simply do not have enough hands to do the work. This ministry needs YOU! You do not need to be an expert, only a person with hands able to work for Him as most items are quite easy to make.

If you sew or knit or crochet or if you want to learn, please consider being a part of this ministry. Please consider coming and sharing your talents or learning from others who are eager to help you.

If you would like to join Stitch n' Prayer but do not want to come to an evening meeting or want to suggest an alternate meeting time, call Dianna Lund. This is a ministry you can be involved in at home. There is always a person in need of prayer and care.

  • Crocheted or knitted bed socks/slippers for Santa Clarita Convalescent Hospital
  • Afghans or lap robes for people in need visited by Care Ministry or Grief Support Ministry
  • Any kind of yarn or material, especially fleece (1 1/2 yards), to make items for this ministry
  • Your prayers

INFORMATION ABOUT OUR NEXT MEETING ...

Our next meeting is Monday, January 11 at 7 pm in Room 5 in the Worship Center. We will tie knotted fringe blankets for Child Share and begin laying out vests for grief support/hospice Memory Bears.
Instruction for those who don't crochet but would like to learn will be given. Everyone is encouraged to bring "left-over" yarn for sharing. This ministry is growing, but more hands are always needed. Please join us in ministry and fellowship.

PATCHWORK AFGHANS
We are asking anyone who can to make five inch squares for our afghans.  Any color or stitch pattern is great.  The more variety, the better.  People being visited by Care Ministry have been very appreciative and very touched to receive an afghan which is the result of many hands.  If you would like to make a five inch square with a cross in the center, the pattern is available. Click here for the Square with Cross pattern in pdf format. Contact Dianna for more details!

It’s EASY! It’s FUN! It’s FAST!
Learning: Learn ONE simple stitch! Make a five-inch square
Listening: Bring your favorite Bible verse and let’s talk.
Laughing: Enjoy a time to share with one another
Loving: Become a part of Care Ministry
