Health Ministries
Due to the health problem in small villages, Kipuke Ministries plan is to open a clinic in the North of the country where people from surrounding villages can come to be seen by a Doctor or a nurse.
Kipuke Ministries welcomes missionary teams from the United States and from Europe. Teams are utilized in various ways, depending on their gifts and talents. Medical teams hold clinics where they diagnose and treat all who come. Free medical treatment and medicine are provided to villagers when clinics are conducted. Persons with physical illnesses, psychological problems, disabilities, and geriatric and pediatric needs are addressed. Medical teams provide eye examenations and free glasses.
In June of 2008 over 3000 people in 4 different villages were seen by a Multicultural Ecuminical Christian Team composed of 3 doctors, 2 nurses and about 20 lay people. The team provided General Medicine and Pediatrics.
Equipment was taken to determine the prescription for individuals eye glasses. 1000 pair of RX glasses and hundreds of reading glasses were taken with the team. After an optical exam each person was fitted with glasses most appropriate for them. Over 300 RX glasses were dispensed and all the reading glasses were dispensed. this literally gave site to people who had lost it over time. Many praises were raised that "I can now read my Bible!"
1000's of doses of worm medicine and pain medication were dispensed.
Some of the teenagers and young adults worked in children's ministries during the clinics.
Each participant carried a suitcase for themselves and a suitcase of pharmacy supplies, eye glasses and or medical equipment. Most of the drugs were dispensed and those that weren't were left with the mission.
