We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month.  Communion is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ.  Juice is served in the cup so that all can participate.

We celebrate both infant and adult Baptism upon request.  The person to be baptized (if an infant, their family) is expected to meet with the pastor before the day of the baptism so that important information may be shared.  The pastor then brings the request before the Session (the governing elders) of the church for approval.  It is recommended that requests be made at least two months in advance for scheduling purposes. 

We would be pleased to celebrate your wedding here at First Presbyterian.  All weddings requesting the use of the church must be approved by Session.  Couples are asked to appear at a regularly scheduled Session meeting to request permission for their wedding.  Further, the couple must go through premarital counseling with our pastor (4 - 6 sessions).  We do charge reasonable but required fees for the use of our building, our pastor, our musician, and our custodian.  Some of these fees are waived if at least one person in the couple is a member.  The use of rice is prohibited; however, alternatives may be approved.

We also would be pleased to help you and your family at the time of a death.  Our pastor is available to do funerals, either in the sanctuary or at a local funeral home.  We have a coordinator who can help with a funeral meal, if necessary.  However, please know that he or she must be reimbursed for all expenses.  Further, a donation for the use of our facilities would be greatly appreciated.

Our pastor is also available to do pastoral counseling and/or to answer questions that might arise in your life and faith.

Monday Bible Study     Monday afternoons at 1 pm at the Northlake Villa Community Room     We are currently studying angels!  Come and join us for lively discussion!

Cub Scout Pack #316     Tuesday evenings at 5:00 pm during the school year     The first and second Tuesdays are den meetings; the fourth Tuesday is our pack meeting.  We are currently taking new registrations!  Call the office or come to a meeting!

Boy Scout Troop #316     Tuesday evenings at 5:00 pm during the school year      The first and second Tuesdays are patrol meetings; the fourth Tuesday is our troop meeting.  We are currently taking new registrations!  Call the office or come to a meeting!

Alcoholics Anonymous     Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm     The last Wednesday of each month is an open meeting.  All are welcome.

Girl Scouts - Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors     Every other Thursday at 5:00 pm during the school year     We are currently taking new registrations!  Call the office for the schedule!  (We are also forming other troops - Daisy, Junior, Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts!  Watch the website for more details and updates!)

UnCoffee House Choir     Every first, third and fifth Thursday at 7:00 pm during the school year     You don't need to be a professional.  You don't need to read music.  Bring your love of music and willingness to share your voice in God's praises!  Come and have a great time with us!!!   We sing a variety of music and prepare to share an anthem with the congregation once per month.  We also prepare to participate in several area ecumenical choral opportunities.

Our building is available for use by community and civic groups.  A donation is greatly appreciated and all requests must be approved by the Session.
