On October 28, 2001, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios (Presiding Hierarch of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America) and His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah (Metropolis of Denver) consecrated the parish of the Assumption of the Theotokos.  The parish began her life in God the Holy Trinity in 1925 and is the only Greek Orthodox Church between Lincoln, Nebraska and Cheyenne, Wyoming.  The Divine Liturgy, the other Sacraments of the Eastern Orthodox Church, and special devotion to the Mother of God have sustained her for over seventy-five years.  The parish's Hellenic people and culture have been a source of beauty, strength, and joyful commitment to God's Church.  This commitment is shared annually through a festival in which family, friends, and people from many states participate.  With God's help and mercy, Assumption Greek Orthodox Church will entrust the great legacy of the Faith of the Apostles and Fathers to many generations.

The grace of  the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.  2 Corinthians 13.14.
