MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

To all visitors to our Home Page.

Thank you for perusing our home page, any additions or corrections should be communicated to the Church Office at 603.539.6484 or by e-mail to fcc1858@yahoo.com.  We try to maintain the web page in an updated fashion and include many events from the surrounding community as well as church events.  Please take your time and explore these pages.

This web page gives us a snapshot of the church and community activities and enables our church family including those who live in the area and those who live in places far off yet whose hearts and minds continue to reside in Freedom to stay connected to us.  It is also a helpful tool particularly for people who are new to the community and to the church body.  The First Christian Church of Freedom is coming up on 200 years of service to this area and continues to be a vital witness to the grace of God to this community and, through its outreach programs, to the world.  The church functions as an independent non-denominational, non-creedal church that is open to all those who wish to be a part of this piece of God’s wider church.  I have learned that the people of this community, in large measure, are caring and loving individuals who continue to be supportive of each other and the church as a whole and whose lives are a good example of the loving spirit that we maintain lies behind the will of God for us.

The church offers worship on Sundays at 10 AM, childcare can be provided; a superb music program and choir.  We recently added an opportunity for the children to work with the Music Director in Junior choir.  We also sponsor a weekly Food Pantry.   We also have an Adult Study Group that uses the Bible as a launching place to discuss people’s faith journeys.  We support various projects in our local area such as Ossipee Concerned Citizens' Meals on Wheels program and the Santa Project, which benefits literally hundreds of deserving children in our surrounding communities and around the world through programs like Church World Service’s Blanket Fund, Habitat for Humanity and other relevant positive programs that are approved by our Church Council.

As we move to the 150-year anniversary, we continue to live by the motto, which is found on our Sunday bulletin and says; “The church in the village where the faith of our mothers and fathers is remembered.”

Grace and Peace be yours,

Bob Bossdorf, Pastor
