Michael Parnell Personal Profile

Hi! I am Michael Parnell, pastor of CALL TO LIFE FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER, where it's all about Christ and His Kingdom! God opened a marvelous door that brought me back to my hometown and home church (formerly known as the Lamar Pentecostal Holiness Church) that I attended as a teenager!
Of top priority, of course, is my relationship with God. I love my wife, Bonnie, and the 9 children that God has blessed us with, dearly. I also, have a consuming passion for music. I sing, play guitar, bass and enjoy a variety of musical styles, especially Praise & Worship.
I have a testimony that would take up too much space here, but I can tell you that I do know, first hand, about the wonderful, merciful, loving grace of God! I simply want to let people everywhere know that God really loves them and is concerned about their lives. He has done great things!

Well, this page is suppose to be my personal page so I will tell you a little more about myself. As stated, I enjoy my family, of course; I have an extensive background in Christian music, spanning over 30 years and 7 recordings and I have sat in as a guest musician on sessions for other artists.
A few years ago I established "LIFE RIVER MUSIC" publishing company. God has blessed me to travel over the country proclaiming and singing His Word. I have been nominated by the Country Gospel Music Association for "Male Vocalist of the Year", "Entertainer of the Year", "Songwriter of the Year" for four consecutive years and was nominated for "Shepherd of the Year" one time.
Also, when my schedule allows it, I enjoy playing chess, walking, and just generally staying active. I have an Associates Degree in Theology and my intentions are to go on and earn my Doctorate.
I try to look for the best in people and maintain a healthy positive attitude even through the most adverse situations. I endeavor to keep my spiritual sensitivity very keen and listen carefully to what the Spirit of God is saying. I pray about everything, but especially life affecting decisions such as, family relationships, personal relationships, where to live, etc. I feel that you cannot pray "too much" about anything.
My desire is to walk more and more in God's wisdom. As the book of James 1:19 says, "...let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:"
I have received recommendations from former governor of South Carolina, David Beasley, LaVerne Tripp of T.B.N. as well as many others, and I am thankful to the Lord for allowing me to meet and become friends with some of His greatest servants. It is my desire ultimately, to walk pleasing to the Lord, be at peace with all people and ultimately, to fulfill God's destiny for my life.
