Lakeside Presbyterian Church, P.C.A.
Seeking to Glorify God and Enjoy Him Forever

Lakeside Presbyterian Church invites our community to join us in a bible study called Christianity Explored.  A description of the course if provided in the FAQs below.  If you would like to be contacted to get more information or to join a group, please either fill out the "Contact Me" form below or call Scott Roberts at 817-424-3923.  Thanks for your interest.

Who is Christianity Explored for?

Christianity Explored is for anyone who wants to investigate Christian beliefs with a group of other people.  Whether you have a lot or absolutely no previous experience with Church, Christians, or the Bible, this study is for you. Everyone is welcome - from the most sympathetic Sunday schooler to the convinced atheist. We will respect your background, culture and beliefs. Tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable.

What goes on?

A meal is usually provided at the start of the evening.  The study is normally run in groups of 6-9 people.  The group will read from and watch a video about a portion of the Bible called the Book of Mark.  Then the groups discuss any questions that have arisen, and the evening is wound up at about 9 pm. Of course, you're welcome to stick around a bit longer for a coffee and to discuss any further issues you might have.

Do I have to speak in the group?

Not if you don't want to. You are welcome to come and just sit and listen.

How long does this last?

Studies begin periodically. Contact us (below) for information on when the next will start up.  The group will meet 10 evenings, once a week. The study will include a day away, when you can explore other areas such as the Bible, the Holy Spirit, prayer and the church.

Can I pull out if I want to?

Yes.

How much does the study cost?

It is free.

Do I have to bring anything?

No, all materials will be provided.

Is it churchy?

We hope not. It's not a church service. There's no praying, singing or clapping, and you won't be asked to read aloud.

Why is Lakeside Presbyterian Church offering this study to the community?

Christians count it a real privilege to explain the truth and relevance of the Christian message. We don't have all the answers but believe that we have exciting news to share about Jesus Christ.
