First Baptist Church

I don't remember how I found out about ForMinistry. Funny, because it's made such a difference in the life of our church. Our former site was just not making it, and our congregation did not feel that our web ministry was something that we could really afford to support. I had done the web-site in the early days, so just went out on a limb and bought the domain name [from ForMinistry - i.e. income] and started designing a new site.

I was amazed at the feed-back that I got about the site. Former members and people who are not in our area full-time e-mailed me to tell me how much they enjoyed the site, and how they thought it was great to be able to keep up with what was going on back in Manasquan. I also heard wonderful things from our church family in the area. It was exciting to find that people were actually checking the web-site and enjoying it. They loved the clean look of the template, and the ease of navigation.

Then the most exciting thing happened. One day a new family came to church. When they were asked why they chose our church, they said that they had done a search and found our web-site, and that's what drew them to us. Several weeks later, they became members. The story has been repeated several times.

Because of ForMinistry, our site has brought people to Jesus and our church. It has also become a great means of letting our membership know what's going on, and a place to list our prayer concerns. In my opinion, that's what a web ministry is all about.
