A Web site’s effectiveness is only as good as the people who read or use it. Now that we live in a society of one-click wonders and worlds, it’s important to make sure that your important message generates the kind of response you want. Just think about how many Web sites exist on the Internet today -- and how many people never even see them? Those are ineffective Web sites.
One way to make sure your Web site is making an impact is to create content that allows users and viewers to give feedback and make comments about what’s on your site now, and/or what they might want to see on your site later. Keep in mind that you don’t want to change the purpose of your site (if that is clear), but allow feedback that will enable you to make it better.
Here are three ideas you might want to consider:
- Quickpolls
- Form comments/feedback questionnaires
- Site Statistics
Quickpolls

(check out the quickpolls on the right)
You can use a poll to ask questions that will allow viewers to vote and submit their opinions. A quickpoll is easy to use and is effective when you don’t want your readers to answer a long, long list of questions.
- Click on Other in your Item Controls and you will see the basic types of tools displayed.
- Select Quick Poll.
- Input appropriate information.
Once the Quick Poll is set up on your site, you can click on View Results. - When finished, click on Save and Update.
